It makes a great gift for someone special or for an aspiring woodcarver. The set is nestled in a natural wood box with a sliding cover. Inside, the 5 tools rest on a grooved divider with a foam pad beneath the handles. The blades are approximately 2-1/4 inches long and the tools measure approximately 5 inches long overall. Blades measure from 5/16" to 3/8" wide at the tip. Each tool has a laquered, light wood, palm style handle with one flat side that is very comfortable to hold and is secure for gripping. Each tool blade is different and the set provides all the basic shapes that are necessary to complete a carving project. Overall the wood box measures 6" X 8" and is 3/4" high.
